Although Educational Centre for Youth is a young organization, it started to implement concrete projects and programs in the direction of solving social problems of youth in different regions. The Centre implementing more than 500 projects in different fields like efficiently organizing of youth’s free time, protecting of youth’s rights, technical assistance to educational institutions, developing vocational courses, preparing new literatures, youth clubs and libraries, organizing cultural programs and etc. is one of the most active organizations dealing with youth. A new educational year has already begun. Normally in these circumstances the NGOs have to be more active, present new projects dealing with work with youth, in a word, have to use from youth’s energy they accumulated during the holidays. We talked to Vusal Guliyev, the founder of Educational Centre for Youth about that. Vusal Guliyev stated that Educational Centre for Youth was created by a group of students study in Baku in 2000, December 12. The Centre of which main objective is to increase citizens participation in the development of civil society and to help solving their social problems has defined its activity directions like the development of youth, education, culture and civil society.


 

Today Educational Centre for Youth begins holding seminars related with granting mortgage credits.
It has been planned to hold seminars firstly in Baku and Sumgait of which main objective is to inform the public about the procedures defined according to the demands of legislation during granting mortgage credits. The participants will be informed about the conditions of granting mortgage credits, its types, concessions and demanded documents in the seminars. Information about international practice dealing with granting mortgage credits will be touched upon during the seminar.


 

The program “Learn and be safe!” that Educational Centre for Youth had initiated was concluded today.
The program of which main objective was to increase schoolchildren’s knowledge about rules of road and to provide their security covered 24 regions of our country.
After the lessons the schoolchildren were taught practical and theoretical trainings about rules of road within the frame of the program. They were informed about road signs, pedestrian’s and driver’s duties, as well as about their responsibility and international practice.


 

Educational Centre for Youth held a conference to summarize its activities within the frame of “Child’s Year” and to inform the society about what it’s done.
Presentations devoted to the activities of the Educational Centre for Youth related with the children in Baku, and in the regions and villages of our country were made in the conference.
We should note that, the Centre has implemented 11 projects related with children’s problems during this year and they were mainly devoted to the propaganda of children’s rights, the useful organization of children’s free time after lessons, the development of cultural initiatives and the propaganda of children’s health.


 

Educational Centre for Youth invites you to participate and complete questionnaire within the project “Cultural Relations” by British Council. The purpose of this survey is to seek your views on the cultural relationship between the UK and your country: how strong that relationship is, how important it is, and how it might best be strengthened.
The survey is in three parts:
Part 1. Asks some questions about you, to help us understand your role and the organisation(s) you work with
Part 2. Seeks your views about the nature of the relationship between the UK and your country in the sector which you work in
Part 3. Seeks your views about the relationship between UK and your country more broadly


 

Each year hundreds of youth participate in different acquaintance visits, seminars and trainings, conferences and symposiums, exhibitions and competitions, as well as, in summer and winter camps in different European countries by means of international partnership programs of Educational Center for Youth. International NGO networks play a great role in developing and broadening process of these programs. Thus, by means of these networks the Center provides yearly participation of its members in different events organized in European countries.
This year, the partnership with “Synergy” International Network, who is one of the main partners of the Center, was very productive as well. As in previous years, the Network organized sufficient number of places for youth from Azerbaijan for participation in its events. This year, nearly 50 members of the Center participated in Synergy seminars and trainings.


 

Vusal Guliyev - the founder of Educational Center for Youth has held a meeting with the directors of schools situated in Qayidish settlement, Fuzuli district. The main aim of the meeting was to learn the needs of the schools and to involve them for the activities of the Pupil Development Committee established by the Center. During the meeting the educational problems of the schools and the perspectives of the Pupil Development Committee were discussed.


 

Educational Center for Youth has begun to implement the next phase of the project named as “Pupil Development Committee conception” which was started in the beginning of this year. The project is being implemented in Qayidish settlement, Fuzuli district and the aims of the project are to increase the interest to education, to involve pupils for lessons, to organize their free time effectively, to increase their social activity level, and to promote their participation in civil society development process. The project is implemented by financial support of Education Support Program of Open Society Institute Budapest office.
A special place is arranged in the school number four, Qayidish settlement, Fuzuli district for the effective realization of the project, as well as, for the organization of efficient work of the Committee. The room was supplied with necessary technical equipment, especially computers and other office equipment.


 

Educational Centre for Youth is delighted to announce national Training Course under the title of “We are Different but Together” with the financial support by the Council of Europe, European Youth Foundation. The project will gather 25 perspective youngsters from the ethnic minority communities living within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the purpose of building solid network seeking sustainable cooperation, development the art of tolerance for ensuring a peaceful living together the young members of ethnic groups in Azerbaijan. As important support activities to the Network, the project will also include capacity enhancing measures through training efforts in order to ensure that young people are motivated and achieve better skills in preparing for their participation in the Network.
